What is an Apprenticeship?

An apprenticeship is a paid job which offers hands-on experience alongside the opportunity to study at the same time. Out of a typical five day working week, apprentices will work for four days and study for one day. This study time equates to 20% of an apprentices working hours and is called “off the job training” because it is usually completed at a college or a local training centre, such as PSA.
